Book Branch has a large contingent of freelance members.

The Branch works closely with London Freelance Branch and the Freelance Industrial Council to promote the interests of our freelance members. Information applicable to all freelances in the union can be found on the LFB web site. Some rates of particular interest to Book freelances, are listed on the Freelance Rates page.

Current and former members of the branch have contributed to a checklist of points to consider before taking on a new job. While it is aimed primarily at those new to freelancing, many of us could do with reconsidering the way we approach new assignments.
